How to restart a Wowza stream? (Wowza Troubleshooting)
How to:
1. Remote desktop into Wowza server of your interest, in this case, we will use
Backup Wowza Server IP: 192.168.193.34
2. Go to Applications and select your application of interest from the left menu.
3. Go to Incoming Streams and press the X button to stop the stream as shown in the
example below.
4. Go to Stream Files and press the arrow by the respective stream file to connect to the stream file for that application as indicated in the example below. Be extra careful when choosing the stream file. It should be of the same name as the application of interest.
5. Go to Incoming Streams to see if the stream has been connected and if the transcoders are running. You should see a list of streams. One of them will be of the form <application_name>.stream and the rest will be the transcoded streams.
Please note that there are applications that do not have any transcoders. These should only have <application_name>.stream as an active stream.
In general, you should see something like this.
6. Go to Stream Targets to see if the targets are running normally. You should see all enabled targets with green colour as indicated in the example below.
