Below is the step by step guide to update AME License every 90 days which is divided into 2 different sections: Amend Robotask and AME License Validation Process. Please perform the same steps to update AME license for AME1, AME2, AME3 and AME4.

How to:

Amend Robotask:

1. The first step is to amend 'VOD Transcode Sorting for AME' task in Main Robotask (10.98.105.96), We will use AME1 as an example please follow the steps below.

Why do you need to amend Robotask?

'VOD Transcode Sorting for AME' in Robotask runs every 120 seconds, which means whilst you are updating the AME license this task will run as updating AME license takes more than 120 seconds. Hence you need to amend the task ex. if you are working on AME1 you need to amend the AME1 in 'VOD Transcode Sorting for AME' so when the task runs it will send the file to AME2

2. Open Remote Desktop on the automation network and log into 10.98.105.96 using the credentials Username: abs Password: abs123 as shown below.

3. Once logged in select the VOD Transcode Sorting for AME task in the Robotask Application.

4.  According to the AME you are updating please make sure to amend the right step.

AME1: Step 9   Increment Variable "AME_1_COUNT"

AME2: Step 13 Increment Variable "AME_2_COUNT"

AME3: Step 17 Increment Variable "AME_3_COUNT"

AME4: Step 21 Increment Variable "AME_4_COUNT"

Double click to open the task and look for Step 9 Increment Variable "AME_1_COUNT"

5. Double click on step 9 and a window Increment Variable as shown below should pop up, insert 100 in the Increment by field and hit OK.

The Increment Value of 100 is the same for AME1, AME2, AME3 and AME4.

6. Hit Save and return to the main Robotask window.

7. After you perform the AME License Validation Process please revert the changes back. Eg. Increment Variable "AME_1_COUNT" > Increment By 0

AME License Validation Process:

1. The first step is to remove the Automation network ethernet cable from the port 1 of the AME server and patch Office network in either of 3 available ports to provide internet connectivity.

2. Once Office network is patched and tested for Internet connection, grab the crash cart and connect the monitor, keyboard and mouse to the AME server.

3. After connecting you should see the AME server screen as below.

4. Close the AME application and open Adobe Creative Cloud.

5. When the Adode Creative Cloud window pop up, use the login details as provided above to login.

6. Once logged reopen the AME application and make sure the watch folders are set correctly.

Tip: Use to a sample file and pass it through the AME to double-check that the AME is working as expected.

7. After you perform the AME License Validation Process please revert the changes back on Robotask 'VOD Transcode Sorting for AME'.

THE END
